Living Independently in an Assisted Living Setting
Agapé Senior offers seniors the option of living independently in an assisted living setting. With this option, active seniors can downsize to tastefully appointed apartments with kitchens and other comforts of home. Residents enjoy restaurant style meals, housekeeping and a security of key-pad building entry.
Enhanced Care in Assisted Living
Enhanced Care is a living option offered within Agapé Assisted Living. As the name implies, the Enhanced Care option provides additional assistance for residents whose needs are more comprehensive. Residents in Enhanced Care benefit from an increased presence from the Agapé staff. Examples include: greater attention and assistance in activities of daily living (grooming, dressing, bathing, etc.), assistance with medication management and monitoring.
Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care in The Vista
The Vista is a specially designed Alzheimer’s/dementia unit at Agapé Senior. It is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for those with Alzheimer's and memory impairment. While all Agapé Assisted Living Facilities offer Alzheimer’s/dementia care to residents, the West Columbia and Lexington campuses feature The Vista. The Vista’s Alzheimer’s/Dementia units have the amenities of the more traditional assisted living units of Agapé, but with additional considerations for residents with memory impairments. Increased security, monitoring, and staff-to-resident ratios are especially important in Alzheimer’s/Dementia units. Our staff is specially trained to meet the unique needs of the memory impaired. The personalized activity and socialization programs help residents to enjoy new experiences while encouraging their participation in daily living rituals and tasks. Activities may include daily exercise programs, and art, music and aroma therapies.Amenities
