Therapy supports Agapé Senior’s integrated model of services and is used to help patients return to a more normal lifestyle. Types of therapy include physical, occupational and speech. Outpatient therapy clinics are available in West Columbia and Rock Hill. Outpatient therapy is used to help patients regain lost strength, flexibility and functionality. Agapé Senior’s therapy staff is comprised of dedicated and highly skilled therapists who are well-versed in the latest and most case-specific therapy practices, equipment and technologies. The therapists of Agapé Senior focus on compliance with physicians’ orders and provide a safe and comfortable environment for patient recovery.

Physical therapy is a type of rehabilitative health care that utilizes exercise and equipment to assist individuals in the development or recovery of muscular strength, flexibility and range of motion.
Our physical therapy program improves quality of life by promoting patient independence. Modalities used in physical therapy include electrotherapy and electronic stimulation, tissue and deep tissue heating therapies, and motor-assisted therapy exercises. Physical therapy is used for:
- Evaluation and treatment for deficits in coordination and/or functional mobility (transfers, gait, wheelchair mobility)
- Upper and lower body strengthening, range of motion expansion and endurance retraining
- Treatments for seating, positioning and standing
